I do not have epilepsy or other seizure disorders, but may be able to help you, this kind of crisis.

Epileptic seizures are caused by the electrical activity of a sudden, abnormal brain. There are basically two types - focal or partial seizures with electrical activitiy in an area of the brain and generalized seizures with electrical brain activity on both sides. You can easier or harder. Usually only takes 30 seconds to about 2 to 3 minutes and cause no damage. However, influenza activity can cause more damage, and if the crisis lasts longer than 5 minutes, we called status epilepticus. This requires medical intervention.

Tonic-clonic (T / C) are what we used as grand mal seizures. Sometimes they are preceded by an aura. An aura is a sensation that an odor (bread, roses, water) means that its (their) or bright lights. There may be a change in personality, just before the crisis. The person loses consciousness. There are muscle spasms, stiff legs, eyes in May, as drooling, jaw. This is the ICT --Al phase. When the foot is, the person fall to the ground. After the crisis is the person sleepy and ought to rest. This is the post-critique. It is not uncommon for a person to urinate during or after the tonic-clonic seizures.

Atonic seizures are also known as gout. Atonic funds without sound. A person to stop what you think, he loses all muscle tone and fall to the ground. They remain conscious. Drop attacks usually last for about 15 seconds.

Myoclonic seizures are usually of a muscle or muscle group. You can include as sudden movements, the arms, legs, neck and shoulders. In general, on both sides of the body can occur and progress T / C or absences. The patient is alert and awake. These attacks are also known as juvenile diabetes because myoclonic seizures often begin in childhood.

Absences usually last between 10 to 20 seconds. They occur suddenly, without warning. A person can speak and suddenly stops and looks into the distance. When SELzure lasts, it can roll our eyes a little. Lest he fall. You do not know, and unresponsive. When the crisis ends, they return to their normal behavior without knowing who has just had a seizure. Absences up to 50 times a day.

The nature of the aura of a person is involved from the area of the brain. Different areas of the brain controlling the sight, hearing and smell.
